Dr Alam began performing hair transplants in 1997 and went on to establish Hair Transplant Australia (HTA) in 2004. Starting in Underwood, he introduced the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique, a minimally invasive method of hair transplantation. Since then, HTA has developed into a doctor-led clinic providing medically guided procedures with a focus on transparency, ethical practice, and individualised patient care.
Dr Alam relocated Hair Transplant Australia to Sunnybank Hills, where the clinic continues to operate today. During this time, he expanded his team of medical professionals who continue to work alongside him today, supporting the delivery of doctor-led hair transplants.
Now in 2025, Hair Transplant Australia continues to operate as a doctor-led hair transplant clinic with almost three decades of experience. Dr Alam and his long-standing team remain committed to providing medically guided treatment, using established surgical techniques supported by advancements in technology.
