HOW IT
WORKS?

No large scars or intrusions, plus a natural-looking result. FUE is the careful craft of first extracting hair follicles, one by one, and transplanting them to the areas where hair is required.

Stage 1.

Consultation

Gain a comprehensive understanding of our services by booking a 45-60 minute consultation with our Hair Transplant specialist.

Stage 2.

The Procedure

Our non-invasive procedure eliminates the need for any cutting or scarring. To minimise discomfort, a local anesthetic is administered to the area.

Stage 3.

Postoperative care

After the procedure, your transplanted grafts will typically start growing within 3-4 months. However, it will take 6-12 months to see the full result.

What our patients say

Reviews from

“What can I say…it’s only been 5 months since the procedure but the results are incredible. For those looking around for a hair transplant, I can’t recommend these guys enough. A friend referred me here and I’m so happy I made the short trip up!”

Matthew Kay

I had an amazing experience the moment I walked into my day procedure. Dr Alam and his team were just a dream. Everyone was so polite and nice, it makes you feel at ease. I was nervous of where to get the Transplant from but made the best decision of my life to go with HTA. I’ve already had people ask me where I got it done, and have referred them to many of my friends.

Jeremy Dazkiw

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Doctor will perform my surgery?

Dr. Alam is our only hair transplant Doctor here at Hair Transplant Australia. He performs every single Hair Transplant procedure and has done so since he started HTA. His team of talented girls who have been working alongside him for many years, assist him in every procedure that is performed.

How much does a hair transplant cost in Melbourne?

The cost of a hair transplant in Australian clinics may differ due to several factors, such as the provider’s experience, the quality of service, and the results delivered. The hair transplantation technique used also plays a crucial role.

The required investment varies for each person, depending on the extent of bald or thinning areas and the number of individual hair follicles needed. Different hair transplant clinics have different prices, and our hair restoration prices reflect the high quality of service and exceptional results we deliver.

Do you offer payment plans?

Absolutely! If you are interested in a payment plan, our team will be happy to assist you with any questions during your hair transplantation consultation. Alternatively, you can reach us at 1300 274 101 to discuss your payment options.

How does a hair transplant procedure work?

A hair transplant procedure involves extracting healthy hair follicles from a donor area, typically the back or sides of the head, and transplanting them into areas experiencing hair loss or thinning. The transplanted hair follicles are carefully placed to create a natural-looking hairline and density. The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia, and the recovery time varies depending on the individual.

Are hair transplant procedures permanent?

Yes, hair transplant procedures offer a permanent solution to hair loss. The transplanted hair follicles are resistant to the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is responsible for causing pattern baldness. Therefore, the transplanted hair continues to grow naturally and is not affected by hair loss.

Is a hair transplant suitable for everyone?

Hair transplant procedures are generally suitable for individuals with male or female pattern baldness or those experiencing thinning hair. However, the suitability of a hair transplant depends on various factors, such as the individual’s hair loss pattern, the availability of donor hair, overall health, and expectations. It is recommended to consult with a hair transplant specialist who can assess your specific case and provide personalized advice.

Can women have a hair transplant?

Yes, women can have a hair transplant, although not as common, women can experience hair loss due to female pattern baldness which can be genetic, hormonal hair loss, general thinning from aging, or for aesthetic purposes.

Are hair transplants painful?

Hair transplants are performed under local anesthetic. Most of our patients describe their procedure as painless, the only pain you will feel is from the local anesthetic needle which is a fine-tip needle. Because it is performed under local anaesthetic you are fully awake and can inform us of any discomfort.

How much time would i need to take off work?

If you work a physically demanding job, you will need to take 2 weeks off work. This is because you are required to avoid raising your blood pressure, wearing a hat or helmet, heavy sweating, heavy lifting and dusty/dirty environments. If you work an office job/from home you can commence work 3 days post-op.

Will it look natural?

Dr. Alam makes sites following the direction of your native hair. This makes your implanted hair and native hair cohesive. He also designs the hairline in a zig-zag pattern to replicate a natural-looking hairline.

Where are you located?

Our clinic is located in Brisbane, Australia. We have a consulting room in Melbourne for any face-to-face consults with our Melbourne clientele. We also offer virtual Zoom consults for any of our patients outside of Brisbane and Melbourne.

Will I scar badly?

Scarring from the procedure is very minimal, as we use a 0.5 – 0.85mm punch to extract the grafts. Dr. Alam also harvests the grafts from a large area from the side and back of the scalp to combat any areas looking thinner or more scarred. These small punch-hole scars will then be covered by your remaining hair when it grows around these areas.
